EXTRACTION METHOD
- Raw Material Crushing: Dried apples or leaves are crushed into coarse powder (10-20 or 20-30 mesh).
- Extraction: The coarse powder is refluxed with 70% methanol (6, 4, and 4 times the volume of the sample) for 1 hour each time.
- Concentration: Methanol is recovered under reduced pressure at 60°C, and antioxidants (e.g., VC) are added.
- Impurity Removal: The concentrate is then treated with polyalumina and calcium hydroxide at 60°C for 30 minutes.
- Solvent Extraction: The extract is then extracted three times with ethyl acetate.
- Concentration: The ethyl acetate layer is concentrated to 10:1.
- Purification: The concentrated extract is purified to obtain phlorizin crystals.
